CrackBerry Expert Review

The Amzer Pudding TPU case is a slim profile skin case for your BlackBerry Passport
Reviewed by DJ Reyes
Leather flip cases are all good and well for some people. However, we all have different tastes and I have skin case for review for those who like such cases. I tried the OEM Hard Shell for the BlackBerry Passport but since that only really covers up the corners of the device, I decided to look elsewhere. Thats when I came across the Amzer Pudding TPU case.

The Amzer Pudding TPU case is a good choice if youre looking for a slim and sleek skin case. it doesnt add much bulk and will do a decent job protecting your device from knocks and scratches. The material is flexible but strong and you can slip your device in and out of it very easily. The glossy edges offer a nice grip, I dont find it slippery at all. Though you may find the matte finish on the back is slippery, however, the way youd hold the device would include hold the glossy areas so it shouldnt slip out of your hands. I have butter fingers and dont find it slip out of my hand when in use. I would go with this case if you want to protect your Passport from scratches and basic protection.

Star Star Star Star Star Too good to be sold for this price
User: Jack J, Jul 20, 2015
Pros: Fits well, provides protection, nice feel, good looking
Cons: Wont stop breakage from the second floor
I have bought plenty of cases for ten times the money, only to find myself dissatisfied by the bulk, weight, complexity, etc. But for less than $5, the Amzer Pudding TPU Case, you get an ideal case for the purpose of some exterior protection. $5.00! Its got a nice feel to it, looks pretty handsome, fits just about perfect, and does what its supposed to do -- give your phone some protection from scuffs, scrapes, low altitude drops, etc. Buy it! You might choose not to use it all the time, but youll be glad you have it in your closet or on your phone.
Star Star Star Star Star Great little case
User: Joy C, Jan 5, 2015
Pros: THICK and Protective
Cons: No BB symbol
I was suprised at the thickness of this little case, most of these silicone case feel like nothing and are loose, this case was tight fitting and thick enough to provide real protection. In addition the back of the case has a matte texture that keeps the case from slipping and sliding in your hand. For $7.95 you cant beat it! Its an awesome value. To me, the only negative factor is that there is no cut out in the silicone to allow the blackberry symbol to peek out!
Star Star Star Star Star Minimal bulk and basic protection
User: Doug R, Oct 23, 2014
Pros: Low profile, black side-rail coverage
Cons: Minimal protectection
I have never used a case on any BBRY i have owned from an early 850 to my Q10. The Passport is much larger and seems a lot less likely to survive being dropped than any other berry i have had, so this is a perfect case for minimal protection. Its thin and adds almost no real bulk to the device for dropping it in and out of a suit or jacket pocket. A little more noticeable if its hitting your pants pocket.

Side-rails are covered in black almost as nice looking as the Stealth unit. Top power button is a little less intuitive and clean to hit with an open slot on top, the volume buttons are covered but seem to work pretty well. No problem with usb charging. The back is matte but not too grippy, the sides are gloss but match nicely with the screen. I would have preferred all matte but thats just a minor aesthetic issue.

No issues with the keyboard and maybe even a little easier to adjust to the 3 row KB based upon the edge of the case giving a little more guidance to the thumbs as one reaches for the space bar.

In the past i would try cases and just toss them after a day or so, i think this is a keeper and it looks much cleaner looking than the BBRY OEM fat corner case, which i still have on back-order so i can offer a real comparison.

Pros: Cheap case
Cons: Stretches and doesntf it tight-charging port access is poorly placed
I ordered this case because I was so pleased with the Amzer Z10 hard case. Mistake. Although very nice when I finally got it on, the problem occurred when trying to charge. The case simply doesnt give enough room to properly accept the charging cable without it constantly popping off.
I finally had to peel it back for access and that did it in.
I could then not get a tight fit when trying to snap the case back on.
Finally, the access for the ON/OFF button makes it difficult to easily engage the button.
Going to order one of the hard cases.
