Charging dock works very good. Charging cable is included contrary to what other reviews said. Will definitely buy from crackberry again.

I purchased the other charging base with the battery charger, its difficult to place your phone on, you have to be very careful, whereas the design of this cradle, you can almost drop it on the cradle.

Pros:  Easy to use, takes advantage of "smart" features

The charger does a great job of holding your Torch and charging it "smartly." By smart, I mean that it takes advantage of smart accessory implementation of the Blackberry. The first time you use it, the phone will ask you what you want to happen when the phone is in the charger - just charge, display clock, play music, etc. A nice "smart" feature. It is a shame that RIM got away from simply having charging contacts on the bottom of the phone like they did with the Touch. I dont like using the Micro USB for charging unless its with an optional charger, etc. The wear and tear on that port adds up after a while and the wires can get broken, bent, etc.

I originally bought two of these. My Husband uses his and works great and loves it. I however returned because I cant use it with the case I have on the phone. You cant use this with any type of case it doesnt fit.

I love this charger as it sits on my desk beautifully, however, I have a Zag cover on my phone and because of the nice snug fit in the base, it did ruin the corner of the cover just a little bit. Be aware that you need to use your own USB/charger for this model. Its no big deal to me as I have 5 USB cables laying around from my previous Blackberries.
All in all, I love that I can still type on it while its sitting there, I can easily transfer files..it is truly a wonderful product, I just wish it didnt snag my Zag cover :(

I gave this item 4 stars instead of 5 only because it did not come with the charge unit. The pod itself works just fine but I had to supply the charge unit.

I was thinking it was like the charging pod like I had for my curve. I didnt know it plugged in to the pod. It doesnt do anything to preserve the wires in the terminal.
