Clear and easy

The S4 works well right out of the box. I easily paired it to my Blackberry Torch and it automatically uploaded my contacts. And although the pronounication isnt always perfect, it correctly announces the callers name. My first test calls (sent and recieved) worked well with some callers claiming that it sounds even better than our home phone. However, sometimes when Im trying to make a call and singing out, "Blue Ant, speak to me," the device wont always recognize that Im trying to activate it. Plus, Im still trying to remember all of the available voice commands but the "What can I say" feature helps here tremendously. Overall, a very good purchase for those that prefer a truly hands-free speakerphone experience.

Blue Ant seems to make some really innovative handsfree equipment. This unit is truly hands free. Turn it on and tell it what you want it to do. Turn off the LEDs? Tell it. Dial a number? Tell it. Accept or reject a call? Just talk.

Annoyance - The unit is excessively chatty. How many times do you have to hear a long winded audio thesis on your phone is connected? A simple one-word "connected" will do. A long sentence is not required.

But really, get its attention by saying Blue Ant speak to me and you have full control of the unit except for volume. The sound you hear is very very good. The unit is attractive and seems to run forever on a charge. The person you are talking to sometimes cannot hear you clearly, but frankly I have 6-7 other top end handsfree units and no matter how sophisticated they say they are they all sound bad to your callee at times. The only way to fix that is with a headset. This one works as well as any for outgoing voice, better than most for incoming, and the voice control is amazing.

My big beef? I updated the software - or rather I tried to - and bricked it. Blue Ant tried to help but it never worked again and they would not take it back. I bought another because it was so good but man that ticked me off. Do NOT update your software. The thing is working, so leave it alone.

Id like to see a remote microphone for this to improve outgoing voice quality. A lavilier mic would be perfect. Then it would be 5 stars.
