Neat.
User: John R, Jan 4, 2009
Pros: Small, Light, one button usage, good hearing, great quality
Cons: Their is idle stand by, but in comparison, its kinda less life than the H700
I had the H700, but replaced it with this one. So far, great, device actually. I do not keep it on unless necessary, and its very easy to get it back on,a nd it syncs without complain quick and painlessly with my Bold. I have noticed someone say it disconnected with their razer a lot.

Well... it did so with mine to. I have a Razr V3, and yes it doesnt stay connected. I think it has something to due with the fact the V3 version doesnt have the fancy BlueTooth support like the bold does. (I THINK V3 is BT 1, and Bold is BT2) Though it doesnt matter, I used the V3 as a test base, and its not my main phone, not even my backup phone, thats what my Pearl is for.
Impressive

Pros: Very light and small. LED light intensity is very subtle. Seamless connection to laptop and phone (BBP) at the same time.
Cons: Battery life lasted less than 5 hours. Very short range (around 18 feet).
I bought this as a gamble actually since there are no reviews out there yet about it. First of all, people tell me that they can hear me very well, so clear but picks up more noise than my older Blantronics Boyager 510 (its either you get good sound or good noise cancellation, not both). I can hear people on the other end very well so when it comes down to sound quality its 10. Wind...dont even think about it with any bluetooth headset..at least not yet.
Yes, it is BT 2.0, my laptop was running a video and when I got a call, it switched to my phone automatically. After I finished my phone call, it went back to my phone..neat...
Range is horrible, my 510 was awesome, I could walk around the house and the signal would be very strong on my headset, this one isnt that great....its like half the range to the point youd better watch out which pocket you put it in because your body might get in the way...that bad. You cant just roam around the house with your phone in the middle (I have an efficiency, so they dont get any smaller).
Charging time is very decent just like any other headset but the battery doesnt last that long, 4.5hrs was what I got out of a phone call yesterday with an extra 20-25 min that day.
Design: Very elegant....and the gloss makes it look attractive. Some not so round edges compared to the other one I had but...ok. Very light weight too.
Upgrades: they dont have anything on their website yet for it....and no CDs came with the headset...not good.
Cables: NOT USB...they claim its mini-USB but its not, it looks like it but its not...thats bad.
Grip: not the best, Ive seen better. if you are lying down it will probably fall off easy. You cant just flip it to the other ear like the 510. Also to get it to fit isnt that easy, you have to keep on adjusting it for a while, in other words, you cant just lend it to some one and get it back the way it was...
Id still give it 2 thumbs up although I expected more for the money.
Great little headset
User: Amanda Strauser, Jan 21, 2009
Pros: fits ear nicely, good volume, good sound
Cons: none that I can find
This is a nice little headset. Its only the second bluetooth Ive owned in my life, so Im not a huge expert or anything.

My last headset (a motorola, cant remember the model), would fall off my ear if I turned my head too quickly. I just couldnt get the darn thing to fit right.

I picked this guy up on sale at RadioShack and love it. It actually fits in my ear, the ear hook is not necessary, but I keep it on as an extra assurance its not going to go flying off my head.

I can hear people loud and clear, and the only one who complains that I sound like Im in a tin can is my Mom, but she always thinks I sound like Im in a tin can when Im on my cell. Go figure.
good but could be much better
User: J M, Jul 3, 2008
Pros: lightweight, overall sound quality
Cons: connectivity issues, limited range (not 10m), some echoing, quirks
I bought a couple of these today. Great headset but has a few misgivings that should be noted. I didnt see these cons from the many reviews Ive read prior to buying the Z9i. Perhaps I wasnt as diligent as Id thought. My initial thoughts are as follows. First, I fully agree with the other reviews regarding connectivity issues with the Z9i being on the opposite side of where your phone is located (i.e. pocket, purse, etc.). My Razr kept disconnecting and reconnecting throughout the day whenever my phone was on the opposite side of the Z9i. I decided to hold my Razr in my right hand while walking and wearing the Z9i on my right ear. It still kept disconnecting and reconnecting but much less frequently. But hey, these devices were only 3 FEET apart with no obstruction! Occassionally, I experienced hearing feedbacks/echoes of my own voice through the earpiece after Id spoken. On 2 separate outgoing calls, the phone connected and the minute counter on my phone showed such but the Z9i remained silent. I had to redial on those 2 calls and the other party said their phone connected but they could not hear me. I did not mute the phone (pressing and holding the - volume button for 3 seconds). Max isolation reaction was Wow from the person I called after informing them my window was down while doing almost 70mph on the freeway.

The 2nd Z9i was for my wife who was with me. She was experiencing connection quirks and issues but didnt yet want to blame the Z9i until she performs her own controlled evaluation of this unit. Needless to say, the incoming sound quality appears to be very good for both of us.

This assessment was made after 7 hours of usage and 37 incoming and outgoing calls in total from my Z9i only.
3 months and Firmware 1.1 (Verizon BB 8130)

Pros: Fit, comfort
Cons: Poor Range, battery life
Comfortable headset, work fine it you are with in 5ft of the phone (line of site) and must be on same side of body. Noise reducion is great.

Worst range, cannot move less that 5ft of unit or static, crackle.Looking for alternative.
