This car mount kit is perfect for my 9900, which I use as my GPS. Absolutely worth the extra money over a generic mount kit. Dont be a cheapskate, pull the trigger and buy it.

I have been waiting for this to become available and I am not disappointed in any way. Great product. Stability is a prime feature. Ease of phone placement and disengagement is superior to any other dock I have had through the years.

Ive been waiting for decently priced charging car cradle for my bold. This must be brand new cause there arent any reviews? Like an idiot I bought it this morning, it shipped within the hour. Then they posted the memorial day sale a few minutes later. Called customer service they gave me the discount right away no questions asked!
As for the cradle itself im speculating. I think charging via micro usb will be more stable in the long run. Just not as sexy. Designing a cradle that uses the contact charging ports could be tricky since cars tend to be in a state of motion.
Why doesnt RIM make an oem car cradle? I would pay more for one, as long as its designed better than the 9930 desktop cradle. Guess I just asnwered my own question. If they cant make a stable desktop, a car.
