Great Device!
User: Dan Starcher, Nov 1, 2008
Pros:
light, uncomplicated, great sound, fashionable, feels rugged
Cons:
Occasionally disconnects even at close range with BB and must re-establish connection
I use this constantly, I am hardly ever without it. It is rugged enough to wear at the gym. It is very discrete (except for the blue blinking light)and can easily be tucked inside your shirt.
Sound quality is excellent when the earbuds are fitted properly (although In no audiophile).
I returned the Motorola S9 in favor of this product. The S9s were bulky (but light) and the wrap around design didnt suit me. These are very discrete and do not get in the way like the S9s did (with sunglasses, collars, hats etc).
The only drawback that I have encountered is the distance issue. Sometimes with my BB in my pocket the BT looses connection and it must re-establish it. Kind of annoying but acceptable, I dont recall having this issue with the S9s. For me the trade-off is acceptable.
Another slight issue is that when playing music and you receive an incoming text notification or call, the notification alert tone and/or ringtone does not come through. The music just pauses and then starts again. I do not know if the tones are not BT compatible or if it is a problem with my BB or the Jabra or the AD2P profile.
I have not been a big fan of Bluetooth technology and this is the only BT device that I own.
Works Very Well

Pros:
Comfortable and convenient, easy to charge.
Cons:
Battery life could be longer
Ive only had the unit for a few days. It got off to a rocky start, because I had difficulty getting it to pair with my 8820. This was likely due to my misunderstanding of the instructions for setting up the pairing mode. However, once paired, it has functioned flawlessly. If I have something playing on the 8820 and turn on the headset, the phone switches with minimum of fuss.
I like the fact that the unit is much less conspicuous than the usual "borg" look, particularly if the fob portion is slid under the shirt. I brought the fob portion up a little higher by shortening the chain, and find it easy to simply slide a finger under my shirt and push the correct button by feel.
The range is not great. If I get more than ten feet from the phone, the sound begins to suffer.
Battery life could be better. I like to listen to lectures and books, and Ive only stretched it out to about six hours thus far before the light begins to blink low. This is somewhat offset by the fact that the headset can be charged by any USB source. I would gradly trade an increase in size of the "dog tag" for an longer battery life.
Works great

Pros:
Small and easy to set up, 3.5 mm headphone jack
Cons:
Clip on chain does not always hold
This headset has a great mic, others have heard me very clearly. The battery life gets me through an 8 hour work day. The power output isnt the greatest thing in the world, but considering its size its perfectly understandable. The 3.5mm headphone jack allows me to hook it up to the stereo at work and I can sit down and control the music from my BB. Versatile and worth owning, though I paid $30 for it.
Works well for what it costs

Pros:
Compact, good battery life
Cons:
Earphones are rubbish, occasional interference.
I was a bit disappointed when I learned my 8830 had a 2.5mm headphone jack and only supported mono. When I found this, what was there to lose? I got this for my birthday and it works just as expected. I get nice stereo sound and has very good range. Occasionally I get some static, but what should I expect? Its wireless, if you buy a wireless audio device and expect flawless audio quality, you might want your head checked. The only thing I would complain about is the earphones it comes with. They are the type that has one lead shorter than the other one so its one side biased. They are also the "In-Ear" type, which for me is not favorable. The best earphones to use this with are a good pair of Apple iPod earphones.
