Review: OtterBox Commuter Series Case for BlackBerry Style 9670

We all know that the name OtterBox means quality protection for our devices. The new OtterBox Commuter Series case for the BlackBerry Style 9670 is no exception. I was very excited when I heard OtterBox was making a case for the 9670 & couldn't wait to get my hands on one. I've previously purchased several cases for my other BlackBerry devices and trust the OtterBox name to deliver on it's protection guarantee.

While being a great case, I found the silicone part that covered the hinge created a loop when opened that tended to be a bit annoying. There were no complaints of an "echo" affect when on a call nor did I notice it hindering the sound in any way when on speaker. The OtterBox case does add a bit of bulk to the 9670 and makes the phone a little heavier than I like. I also would have liked the back piece to have more of a rough texture to aid in a better grip.

Pros: Perfect fit, Well made, Intelligent design
Cons: No belt hook

As far as cases for this particular phone, it truly "fits like a glove". It offers protection and is well engineered. Yes, it does make the phone a bit bulky and there is no belt clip, but as cases go, it is the best!

Installed easy and protects my wifes BB 9670. She has already dropped it and the case and BB are fine. I would highly recommend this case.

Pros: Very protective Allows all phone functions without removal
Cons: Crumby installation instuctions

Of the cases available for this phone, this has to be the best I have seen. That said, It makes the phone look a lil clunky, and the protective coverings are adhesives. When wiping the screen, be absolutley certain there is no lint on the screen, as a small piece trapped under the screen protector creates a small annoying bubble.
