Great investment it saved my hone many times
Ive had OtterBox Defenders on each of the 3 BlackBerry Curve 8330s Ive owned and I highly recommend them. Ive dropped my BBs literally dozens of times with no ill effect, ever. The most amazing example of this was when I left it on the roof of my car and it blew off at 40+ miles per hour. The Otterbox was destroyed, but the phone barely had a scratch on it and it worked perfectly.
Weather resistance
I carried my BB in my hand while training 9 months for a marathon. In weather ranging from snow to sweltering heat and even rain, it protected the BB on two occasions when I was caught (for a few minutes) in mid-summer thundershowers of a few minutes duration. It protected the BB on dozens of runs. The only issue that ever came up was when I ran for 20 miles in sweltering heat (95 degree) and humidity (90 humidity), after hours of my sweat pouring down my arm across the OtterBox Defender, the BB buttons ceased to work. until I brought the phone into an air conditioned environment and it dried out. then it was fine again.
I certainlythe OtterBox Defender.

8310 Defender Case
Ive gone through 4 phones in 4 years.
Had good luck with a Rugby, it held up, but lacked email.
When I got the Blackberry I bought this case.
The phone fell out of my truck and landed on the concrete with no damage to the phone or the case for that matter.
Happy with it and will buy another defender series if I get an Iphone.

Solid Case

On the plus side, this is a solid, sturdy case with a nice clear cover for the screen and keyboard. As others noted, its hard to clear ALL the little bubbles out from behind the cover, but thats just cosmetic. On the negative, you need to remove the BB from the case if you use a charging dock or if you need to perform a battery pull. All in all, Im very happy with the case after dropping my BB before I feel a lot safer now.
Takes a beating!

Pros: Very good protection.
Cons: Pulling the case for its monthly clean.
