I’ve had my fair share of Bluetooth headsets over the years. Perhaps I’m being picky, but a small part of me always wonders if there is a better sounding device out there. I want crisp clean sound! I want an ear drum delicacy! I want power and pizzazz without being pretentious!

Ingeniously Simple. That’s what Plantronics is calling their new Discovery 975 Bluetooth Headset. Within its elegantly minimal design, sound is mastered using Audio IQ and WindSmart Technologies.

For a Bluetooth headset with sleek design and impressive audio quality; turn to the Plantronics Discovery 975. Despite the minimal initial distortion and heavy noise environment issues, the 975 still worked quite well due to WindSmart and Audio IQ technologies. Some have said that the physical design may not appeal to all, I say nay. This headset can be worn by everyone. You experience high quality in both looks and sound.

Pros:  Sound Quality, Battery Life w/extra charger, stylish looks
Cons:  Can be unconfortable to wear for long periods

Ive tried a few Bluetooth earpieces prior to this and with most - to get noise cancelling, you need to sacrifice audio quality. This is the first one I have used where the incoming call sounds as good as outgoing... truly a feat! The noise cancelling does a good job of taking care of buisiness and should work just fine unless you are walking around a construction site.

The big deal is the audio quality... it just sounds better than any other I have tried (ie. Jawbone, Blueant, Motorola). When you boil it down - what good does noise cancelling do if you sound like garbage to the other caller?

The only con I can think of is that it can be unconfortable in your ear after several hours. I dont know if its me an my ears - or if I just need to "get used to it" a bit more... maybe. But the in-ear thing can make you want to pull it out after awhile. If thats bothersome to you - then you might want to stick with an over the ear.

Bottom line - its a great headset. Through in the carrying case (that doubles as a charger!) and you have a winning combination. Good job Plantronics!

I loved the 925 but this one is even better! If you are worried about the device falling out of your ear, then dont, because the ear gels not only stay snug, but they have a grip to them that makes them stick to the skin. The unit is also very load and the sound quality is very very good. Overall I am very satisfied with no complaints!

Ive had a lot of blue tooths before this one and I must say Im finally HAPPY with one. This thing sounds great, fits snug but doesnt even feel like anything is in your ear, VERY Comfy! Callers say i sound crystal clear even with my car windows open at 65mph. Love the charging case feature which gives you a lot more power on the go. This little puppy is a great addition to any cell phone, My BB Tour LOVES it and So do I !

Fantastic Bluetooth for comfort. I usually have problems getting a Bluetooth to fit and be comfortable in my ear. This is the first one that was comfortable and could be kept in my ear for hours at a time without any discomfort.
However, the unit worked great some of the time and at other times the person on the other end said that they got their voice echoed. This happened on numerous occasions and no setting on my phone would aleviate the problem. But I could never isolate the problem as the sound on any particular phone call was either perfect or completely distorted.
I really dont know if it is a Bold compatibility problem or a Plantronics problem but unfortunately I had to return the unit.
Too bad because when it worked properly the Plantronics 975 was the best Bluetooth I ever used. And Plantronics tech support couldnt help!
