8 GB in my phone!?!...Huh..huh..huh...AWESOME!!!
User: Russell L. Wells, Jan 26, 2008
Pros:
More storage than you can belive frees up phone storage space for programs and games card reader is tough plastic so no fear of breaking while carrying in pocket, attatched to keychain Phone recognizes all 8 GB (7.5 usable)
Cons:
As of writing this, Current Desktop Manager does not recognize the card while in the phone (Curve in my case), removing and reinstalling card to load anything is a pain
I truly thought I would fill 8GB so fast I would need more than one card.
Truth is, after loading 12 albums of music, all my ring tones, adding more from Crackberry.com, adding a couple of funny avi files, two full length movies, a photos of my kids and a few thousand sample photos (Im a Professional Photographer), I thought I would be out of space.
Yea...that put me to about 4GB with 3.5GB to go.
I added more music and more videos and still have space to go.
Im a happy duck with this card.
Major drawback: card is only as big as my pinky nail and I dropped it once, it took me 15 min to find it. Small is not always good.
The current BB Desktop Manager does not recognize the card while inside the BB. Curve 8310 in my case. So, to upload files, you must remove the card, put it in the reader and then you can use the Desktop manager.
The Sandisk card reader is a tight fit, make sure you have it fully installed, which is all the way up to the raised portion on the card.
Format in Laptop to access w/ BB 8120
User: John Gordon, Jun 5, 2008
Pros:
Makes BB a business iphone!
Cons:
Format on the Laptop
The 4GB card worked easily. For this 8GB card, I had to format it in my PC, then I could put at least 4GB of music on it. Apparently were still waiting for the updated BB OS to get to use the final 4GB.
