Having noticed a steady decline in the performance of my BlackBerry 8800 battery, I decided to give one of the Seidio Extended batteries a try. I had heard good things about them, so I thought it would be worth a shot. I especially liked the fact that Seidio's 1600mAh battery would extend the battery life of my 8800 but not its phyiscal size as it fits under the standard battery cover. In the end, I haven't been disappointed!

All in all, I'd highly recommend a Seidio battery for those of you that only get a day or so out of a battery charge. If you need more power, this is the answer. The Seidio will help eliminate power issues and give you a longer lasting battery that will last for a long time. No more worries about your battery dying on you in the middle of the day...No need to carry a spare battery or charger around with you either. Charge up once and you should be good to go for days!

It has always been good for two full days of heavy use, for lighter use I have gone as long as five. I purchased it because of the great experience I had with the large Seidio battery on my Palm Treo. After 14 months of use I am thinking of buying another one.

This battery is exactly as advertised. It fits perfectly in my 8830, and lasts longer than my original Blackberry battery. Dont buy the negative evaluations, buy this battery!

Are you guys even using a 8830?

I have this battery and it last longer than the original and *doesnt* give it any extra bulk, it is the EXACT same size.

It is a no brainer, but only to invest in it.

Cons: Too thick! Causes 8800 battery cover to bulge, which means eventually breaking

It baffles me why a company would make a battery, as a replacement for an OEM battery, and make it too thick.

I got it, and was really looking forward to the extra life it would give me. I put it in, and had a hard time getting the cover back on! Eventually it worked. Next day, as I was using my phone, I noticed the back of the phone had an extra edge to it! Turns out it was the battery causing the cover to bulge out. So I took it out and compared batteries side-by-side, and it was definitely thicker!

Id put up with it if I knew the it wouldnt eventually cause the door to break. But lets face it, if you put constant pressure on a piece of plastic, eventually, its going to snap! So Im returning it and going OEM again. What a shame.

DO NOT BUY!!!

Save your money!!! Buy an additional OEM regular life battery instear of this "long-life" ! I charged this in full and it only lasted ONE DAY!!! My OEM battery that came with the device lasts 2-3 days. To me its a "no-brainer".
