Contrary to the way this product is sold, it *does not* work properly with the Pearl 8100. Like many 2.5mm adapters, they have to be designed just right to play both left and right channels even though the adapter fits into the jack on the phone. This adapter will only play the left channel when used with the Pearl 8100. This is disappointing given that Crackberry advertises this product as specifically matched to the Pearl 8100. Setting that glaring problem aside, the adapter works properly in other ways including the button which works to answer calls, and mute audio when using the built-in audio player.

something wrong with my female 2.5mm jack. only get left channel if i insert [almost any] plug, inless i pull it back out just a hair. a few of my 3.5s work, and i cant see where theres a difference.
anyone else have this problem? bummed. bought it through here and i cant find my receipt...
