CrackBerry Expert Review

Seidio Charging Vault Review - a backup battery pack for your BlackBerry Smartphone
Reviewed by Joseph Holder
At CES2012, we saw a good deal of mobile charging solutions; quite a few companies had portable power packs on display. From among this diverse crowd of options - and believe me, I've tried a number of these charging solutions - the Seidio Charging Vault stands out from the rest. The battery pack features not one but two UBS charging ports. In the Charging Vault Kit, Seidio has kindly included a retractable USB cable with multiple tips: microUSB and a 30-pin connector for iOS devices. Most importantly, the Charging Vault proved its importance by saving my BlackBerry Torch 9860 on day one of my trip to Las Vegas. Without this backup power supply, I'd probably still be wandering the strip, looking for a familiar face.

StarStarStarStarStar Highly recommended!

Pros:  Fast recharge of phone, compact, handy microUSB/iPhone cable
Cons:  -

This is now an essential item for travel and away from an office! Im really pleased with the speed at which it recharges a phone, similar to a high-powered wall charger. It nearly completely recharged my BlackBerry Torch 9810 in only about an hour from 10 to 90. This is a really useful device for heavy phone usage away from power, and is small enough to fit in your pocket with a phone. The attached micro-USB to iPhone cable end adapter on the retractable USB cable is really handy and ingenious.
Slight con: the Charging Vault itself seems to take a few hours to recharge fully itself, but its capacity is high enough that you could wait for an overnight charge. The 2nd USB power output is useful, and the 1.5A output capacity at 5V is adequate to recharge 2 power-hungry phones in parallel. I like that its rated for universal AC input 100-240V so you can use it worldwide with only a socket adapter.
StarStarStarStarStar Great Product

Pros:  Works well anywhere
Cons:  A little heavy to carry in purse

This is a great product to use when your battery is dying and you dont have access to an electrical outlet to charge the battery. This can charge in your purse or pocket while you are on the train or at work. It is well worth the money
StarStarStarStarStar Seems Just Fine So Far

Pros:  Lightwieght and compact
Cons:  -

This Web site deleted my punctuation marks and symbols, so I am submitting my review again to make it clear.
The kit seems to be able to do exactly what it is supposed to do. The only thing I noticed is that it takes about 75 percent of the charge to charge 50 percent of the battery in my Torch 9860. As large as the charging vault kit is, I was expecting it to have more capacity. Maybe it will increase with use.
