Review of Seidio cases and holster for the BlackBerry 8800

It is a good fit, but the clip on top of the holster kept catching on the cutout for the speaker. This was easily remedied just by lifting the clip again and letting the skin settle back into place. The rest of the holster worked perfectly. It has a swivel clip, and a recessed place for the trackball when holstered. Another big improvement with this holster over the identical one for the Pearl is that the placement of the clip on the back has changed. It has been raised on the back, so that the holster does not ride as high on your waist anymore and does not poke you on your side.

Overall, I think this is a good skin/holster combination.

Works well with the hard case. Only problem I have with the holster is how stiff it is when you are turning it. other than that not bad.

Perfect Solution for my 8820!

I have been fooling around with cases for my new 8820 for about 2 weeks now. The case that RIMn includes in the box is nice, but it was messing up my sleep function and doing all sorts of crazy things to the 8820 like locking the keypad when I removed it from the case. I took it into T-Mobile and they had no clue why it was doing that. Anyway, after going through several cases, I decided to try the Seidio Holster for a Skinned Blackberry. I also picked up the smoky grey color skin from Cellet. What a terrific combination. The combination is lightweight, secure and the sleep function works perfectly. No more having to unlock the keypad when I remove the 8820 to use it. I would hightly recommend this holster for anyone looking for a nice alternative to the typical leather cases.. most of which dont work with the sleep function.

I bought this with the Seido hybrid crystal case and although its not specifically made for it, it does fit perfectly. This holds the phone snuggly but it is very easy to get it in and out of the holster. Definitely a must-buy in my book.

This Holster is fast becoming my Favorite one Yet. Even above the Nice Soft Leather Holsterst that are out there.

The Description of this Holster when you are purchasing it, Omits a Major Requirement of this Holster. YOU MUST have a Skin Case on your phone for it to fit properly in the holster.

I just so happened to already have one and once I slipped it on the phone, it fit the holster perfectly. With this set-up you have a non slip skin on the phone, a quick access holster with swivel belt attachment, "Beefy by the way" and an overall slim line holster for your phone, less bulky than the leather stock holster.

Only con so far is that the Skin Case will catch the holster sides a little if you are in a hurry to put it away, gotta be lined up good before attempting to latch the phone in place, but practice makes perfect. MAL

Okay item, had some problems

Cons: clip pin slides out easy, skin wears out and rips

Ive had this combo for less than a year. The pin that holds the clip on the holster has slipped out several times, and just yesterday the skin I bought for my 8830 ripped in half when putting the phone into the holster. This is not ideal if you are going to frequently remove and holster your BB. Id recommend just getting a solid slip in case.
