We tried different adapters from some of the local electronics stores(the ones who actually had any adapters to start with). None of them worked. They would play in one ear or not at all. We learned about this one on Crackberry and figured if this didnt work, nothing would. It was getting old bringing stuff home that had to be returned. To our delight, this adapter works perfectly for the 8830 with our Bose headset! If we had gotten this one first, we would have saved ourselves time and money.

Pros: It works!

After several purchases of other adapters, this one was the one that work. It provides stereo music into my car stereo. Other adapters only worked in mono or not at all. This is the one that you need to get for the blackberry 8350i.

Tried cheap ebay adapter. No good. Noticed in the photo of this adapter that there are 4 separations in the male plug and not the normal 3 that most stereo adapters have. Saw one at Radio Shack with the 4 separations. Went to the store to check it out. Didnt work. Read more and saw that this one supposedly worked and it does. Plug earphones into the adapter and then adapter into the 8800. Start your media and bingo, stereo. Didnt think that I would find one that works but here it is.

Works but is delicate

Cons: So small, potential to break.

This is my second Seidio stereo adapter for my 8830. Use it both for headphone adapter and line output for car stereo, home, even church sound system.

Works fine but as I said but so delicate and small, broke my first one. Dropped 8830 while using it as headphone connection and streched in the right angle part of the cable. I could hold it to make it work. (Had a "short" in it). Wish the wire was a little more stable/thicker.

Really wish that RIM would have put a standard size jack in the phone!

Pros: able to listen to regular headphones
Cons: thilong wire from plug to jack,floppy

able to use any headphones for BB,wire to jack a bit long,flops around,wire kind of thin,might break easily if snaggged.overall satisfied.
