Product Description

The Sony Ericsson Stereo Bluetooth Headset HBH-DS970 lets you listen to your music files with superior sound, turning your mobile phone into a true music player.

When the phone rings, a quick glance at the display hanging from your neck reveals the name or number of your caller, allowing you to decide to accept or reject the call.

Supporting the multipoint function, the HBH-DS970 offers access to the vast selection of music files in your computer, PDA or other Bluetooth devices.

While you remain connected to your mobile phone, easy-to-use buttons and keys and the intuitive display let you enjoy computer-based music without the risk of missing incoming calls.

I've now been a long time user of Jabra's BT3030, as its own review shows me walking in style. I'm always on the look out for the newest accessory. Sony Ericsson's HBH-DS970 Stereo Bluetooth headset looks to be a solid contender. It's sleek look and features have caught my eye.

If I could switch the headsets occasionally, or clip the headset for added security and comfort, the Sony Ericsson HBH-DS970 Stereo Bluetooth Headset would be satisfactory. Call quality is fantastic and, although I prefer bass, the music comes through clearly.

Star Star Star Star Star Nothings ever come close

Pros: Extremely practical with high quality sound
Cons: The fabric on the lace wears out
I used two of these and one of the successor before they were end of lifed. I found them incredibly practical - just hang it round your neck and you dont need to bother for the rest of the day. Theyre typically just out of the way when you dont need them, and when you phone rings, pick up the left one first, put it in your ear and press the button on the cord to answer, and then take the right one (if you want to).
If you want to listen to music, the sound was just as good as a corded headset.

I paired mine with my laptop and phone, so during most of the day, my computer streamed music. When the phone rang, that got priority and I would talk and get that sound stream in the headset for the duration of the phone call.

The best thing, compared to all other headsets, was the non-tangled wires and the fact that hanging it around your neck works on all clothing and is extremely fast and fail-safe - no need to worry about how to attach to your clothes without pushing any buttons or ripping your clothes.

I REALLY miss these.

Why I gave up on them? Battery performance decreased (9-12 months was OK, actually plugged charging cable in while listening to music at my desk) and I physically broke to of the plastic cases around the centerpiece.
Star Star Star Star Star Definitely not worth the price

Pros: As a phone headset it works reasonably well
Cons: As a music headset the quality is very poor
One word. Bass. There is NONE. Functionally, the headset works fine. Connected very easily and the profiles work just fine. The answer button works perfectly. I did have some issues at first with bad static, but that only happened one time. For music, the sound quality is terrible. There is absolutely no bass at all. And, unfortunately, on the BB Curve, the next/previous buttons do not work. Its very comfortable to wear, but I wish the dongle had a clip on the back to keep it from bouncing when I was walking. Its a good idea, but poorly implemented. I found it for a LOT less somewhere else and it was still not really worth the price. Look elsewhere.

Pros: Nice Features for answering phone calls
Cons: Horrible for music
I had read many reviews for this item all over the net and found very few negative comments, and only one that said there was a problem with the bass. Well there is no bass from these even when paired with my computer (which took major work to accomplish) and the bass turned all the way up there still was NO bass. If there was a way to rate this win no starts that is what i would have done. If Sony can get the base response back into these it would be great product as the the other feature like showing the calling number and ease of answering a call were fantastic. In the state of the current product these are not even worth $10.00. I can buy wired head phones for $1.00 (yes one dollar) that sound better than these.
