No matter how hard I try I really cannot make any device I own last a full and complete day any more. My BlackBerry Bold 9780 comes close but it's just not enough. I really don't like the idea of running out of juice when I need it most. For some folks carrying a spare battery is the ultimate option but given that I often have a few devices that I make use of, I was looking for something that would be compatible with them all.

Having taken the Ventev PowerCELL along with me on many trips to Tim Hortons and Starbucks I'm happy to say it has saved my butt on many occasions. If you're looking for an alternative to carrying multiple batteries or just looking for a way to top up the battery you have while on the go the Ventev PowerCELL is certainly a viable option to look at.

PowerCELL works Good

Pros: Works as advertised, Multi-device capable
Cons: Price may be a bit high

Limited use so far, but it seems to work as advertised, which is good. I like the LED charge indicators always know at a glance what its state of charge is. Seems to top off the 2600 mah extended battery in my Bold 9650 quickly. Works on all our cell phones and my wifes Ipod.

Excellent for recharging Tour

The Ventev PowerCELL is a good choice for users who need to recharge their BlackBerry on the go and without swapping batteries. It should be especially helpful for people who use cases like the Otterbox that make swapping battery packs undesirable. Its lightweight and compact and can easily be held in the same hand as the BlackBerry, allowing you to recharge your device while using it on the go. Its 700mA output quickly recharges my aging Tour battery, and the Ventev has sufficient storage capacity to recharge the Tour twice on one charge, although that may partially be due to the Tour battery being old and not capable of taking a full charge.

The only con is the miniUSB connector input used to charge the Ventev. A microUSB would be better for compatibility with other power supplies and USB Cables. The output is a standard USB connector that accepts whatever cable your device uses, so thats not a limitation.

This sucker straight up kicks butt. I have a Bold 9000 that is pretty much locked up in an Otter Defender case. I listen to Nobex in the mornings and Pandora in the afternoons. By noon the battery would be less than 20. Im out in the field for work and its very hard to recharge. Plus i didnt want to get an extra battery and take off the back of the BB each day to swap out. Enter this bad boy. On a full charge i can listen to radio and it also has enough guts to keep charging up to about 90, while BB is in use. Sahweet! If anyone out there has been on the fence with this one, do not hesitate at all. Plus with the USB as the out, you can use it to power up just about anything else, IPOD etc.. Thank You Ventev!!!!!
